Obituaries

Beverly Glee Peterman, Nevada, passed away Friday, February 17, at Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada. Nevada's 1976 Bushwhacker Queen was 80. A funeral mass is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nevada, with Father Mathew Benjamin officiating. Burial is planned in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled between six and seven o'clock Suinday evening, February 19, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Memorials to Heartland Hospice are suggested.

Gene Randall Carlson passed away Friday, February 17, at Nevada Nursing and Rehab. He was 63. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a memorial service is to be scheduled later at Pampa, Texas. Memorials to the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at Oklahoma City are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Virginia Lee Groff, Milo, passed away Friday, February 17, at the age of 74. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a memorial service is to be scheduled later in Kansas City.

Katherine Becca Johnson, Sedalia and formerly Nevada, passed away Tuesday, February 14, at the age of 20. Arrangments are under direction of the Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton, and a memorial service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, at the funeral home.

Jon Patrick Ledbetter, Nevada, passed away Saturday, February 11, at his home. The 1982 graduate of Nevada High School was 52. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a graveside service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, in the Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, Mo. The family receives friends between six and eight o'clock Friday evening, February 17, at Ferry Funeral Home.

Wayne "Winnie" Wilson of Lamar passed away Monday, February 13 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. He was 57. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18 at the Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar. 

Dennis "Butch" Markham, Nevada, passed away Friday, January 27. The graduate of Bronaugh High School and University of Missouri was 66. A celebration of his life is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at the Nevada Country Club. Memorials to a Butch Markham Scholarship Fund are suggested and can be made in care of 1st National Bank in Nevada or Southwest Missouri Bank, Webb City.

Pat Sublet of Casa Grande, Arizona, formerly of Archie and El Dorado Springs, passed away Saturday, February 11. The family of Matt and Holly Cross will receive guests at the Celebration of Life reception for Pat Sublet on Saturday, February 25, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Church of God (Holiness) in El Dorado Springs, Mo. 

Raymond Lee Melton, Appleton City, passed away Wednesday, February 15, at his home. He was 63. Arrangements are under direction of the Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, and memorials to a fund for the family are suggested.

Richard "Rick" Moffatt, Carthage, passed away Wednesday, February 15, at his home. The Lamar native was 65. Arrangements are under direction of the Ulmer Funeral Home, Carthage, and graveside services are scheduled at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, at the Sheldon, Mo. Cemetery Pavilion. The family receives friends between noon and two o'clock Saturday afternoon, February 18, at the funeral home and memorials either to the First United Methodist Church in Carthage or the charity of the donor's choice are suggested.

William "Bill" Farr, Parsons, Kansas and formerly Fort Scott, passed away Wednesday, February 8, at Mercy Hospital. He was 90. Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 18, at the Community Christian Church in Fort Scott with the Reverend Kevin Moyers officiating. Burial is planned in Fort Scott's Evergreen Cemetery. The family receives friends between six and seven o'clock Friday evening, February 17, at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home in Fort Scott and memorials to Mercy Hospital are suggested.
