Obituaries

Roxana (Wilson) Robinson, of rural El Dorado Springs, passed away Monday, March 27, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. The 1966 graduate of Nevada High School was 68. A memorial service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at Ferry Funeral Home with her brother-in-law, the Reverend Hubert Fox, officiating. Burial is planned in Newton Burial Park. Memorials to Vernon County Cancer Relief are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Henrietta Callen, formerly Liberal, passed away Sunday, March 26, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood. The retired Commerce Bank executive secretary was 98. Arrangements are under direction of the Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, and a graveside service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, in the Iantha Cemetery. Memorials to Good Shepherd Community Care are suggested and can be made in care of Daniel Funeral Home.

Margaret Heitz, of Joplin, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 22. She was 89. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Bland-Hackelman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Worsley Cemetery at Bronaugh. On-line condolences may be left at www.blandhackleman.com. 

Thelma Lucille Kennedy of Richards, Mo. passed away Wednesday, March 22 at Moore-Few Care Center. She was 91. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Bill Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Newton Burial Park. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Nevada.

Martha Beverly "Marty" "Bev" Rogers of Belton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 28th at her home. The Nevada High School graduate was 81. A committal service for Marty Bev Rogers is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1st at the Moore Cemetery in Nevada.
