Retired TSgt. Robert Martin Hagenson, Nevada, passed away Wednesday, July 30, at the Kindred Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., at the age of 77. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a family visitation is scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 4, at the funeral home with burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the National Cemetery at Fort Scott, Kansas. Memorials either to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Ruby Rita (Boughton) Emery, Nevada and the co-owner/operator of the Horner Flower Shop on N. Main Street in Nevada years ago, passed away Wednesday, July 30, at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, at the age of 95. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, at the funeral home with elder Tom Pyle officiating and burial to follow in Newton Burial Park. Memorials to the Nevada Senior Center are suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Edith Mae (Eaton) Cliffman, Nevada, passed away Monday, July 28, at Moore-Few Care Center at the age of 82. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services were held at 1:00 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church, 301 E. Highland, Nevada, with pastor Bill Cox officiating. Burial followed in the Moore Cemetery. Memorials to Parkinson's Research were suggested.

Dorothy Thelma Cross, 92, Sheldon, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 27, as the result of a two-car, head-on collision on I-49 in Southern Vernon County. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services were held at ten o'clock this morning at the funeral home. A private burial to be scheduled later in the Olive Branch Cemetery. Memorials to the Olive Branch Cemetery were suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Deena Kay (Anders) Erb, Spring Hill, Kansas and a native of Nevada who grew up in the Walker, Mo. area, passed away Sunday, July 27 at her home at the age of 55. Arrangements were under direction of the Bruce Funeral Home, Spring Hill, Kansas, and Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Gardner, Kansas, and burial followed in the Columbine Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton, Kansas. Memorials to the building fund at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church were suggested and can be made in care of the Bruce Funeral Home.

Ralph Dean Heckadon, Carthage and formerly of the Bates County area, passed away Saturday, July 26, at Freeman-West Hospital, Joplin, at the age of 86. Arrangements were under direction of Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the funeral home and burial followed in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill. 

Phil E. Hymer, Nevada, passed away Wednesday, July 23, at the age of 59. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the funeral home and burial followed in the Salem Cemetery at Foster, Mo. Memorials to the building fund at the Rinehart Christian Church were suggested and can be made in care of Ferry Funeral Home.

Viola Mae (Harris) Devore, formerly Nevada, passed away Monday, July 21, at the Ottawa, Kansas Retirement Village at the age of 95. Arrangements were under direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar, and a graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, in Newton Burial Park, Nevada.

Paul Carey passed away Wednesday, July 30, at the age of 88. Arrangements are under direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, at the funeral home with burial planned in the National Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. The family receives friends between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, at the funeral home.

Michael David Reno, Montrose, passed away Monday, July 28, at his home at the age of 51. Arrangements are under direction of Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, and a Celebration of his life was scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, in the Montrose City Park.

Joyce Smith passed away Thursday, July 31, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City. Arrangements are under direction of Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, and services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, at the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose. The family receives friends between one and two o'clock Saturday afternoon at Hill and Son Funeral Home.

Fred Schweer passed away today at the age of 78. Arrangements are under direction of Hill and Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, and service arrangements are to be announced later.

Herbert Eugene Perkey, Nevada, passed away Monday, July 21, at his home at the age of 82. Arrangements were under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at the funeral home and burial followed in the Moore Cemetery. 

Della Mae Glaze, Papinville, passed away Monday, July 21, at the age of 86. Arrangements were under direction of Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at the funeral home and burial followed in the Papinville Cemetery. Memorials to a Della M. Glaze Fund were suggested and can be made in care of Heuser Funeral Home.

Eula Fern (Jackson) Manser, Rockville, Mo., passed away Monday, July 21, at the age of 102. Arrangements were under direction of the Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler, and services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at the funeral home burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. Memorials to the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Adrian, were suggested.

Elizabeth V. "Betty" Pollard, El Dorado Springs, has passed away. Arrangements were under direction of the Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and services are scheduled at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, at the Sheldon Funeral Home with burial to follow in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery.

Nataly Pugh, Lamar, passed away Tuesday, July 22, at her home at the age of 38. Arrangements were under direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar, and a private service was to be scheduled later.

Ruth M. (Schmedding) Reimer, Montrose, passed away away Tuesday, July 22, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, North Dakota at the age of 91. Arrangements are under direction of Hill & Son Funeral Home, Appleton City, Mo., and a memorial service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at the Hill & Son Funeral Home. Burial followed in the St. Ludger's Cemetery, Germantown, Mo. Memorials to St. Mary's School in Montrose were suggested.

Ladine (Wilmot) Menchetti, Kansas City, Mo. and a member of the F-E PEO Chapter, passed away Monday, July 7. The family received friends between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, in the library of the Country Club United Methodist Church, Kansas City, Mo. and a graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, in the Richland Cemetery near the Vernon County community of Richards -- near the old Wilmot family farm -- and under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
