Edna Mae (Eslinger) Shutters, Independence, Mo. and formerly of the Walker-Nevada area, passed away Thursday, February 4, at the Groves in Independence. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a graveside service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, in Newton Burial Park, Nevada, Mo. Memorials to The Grove Hospice are suggested.

Charles Eugene Banes, rural Sheldon, passed away Wednesday, February 3, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He was 88. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, at the funeral home with Tricia Brandt officiating. Burial is planned in the Sheldon Cemetery. The family receives friends between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, at Ferry Funeral Home. Memorials to Bronaugh High School are suggested.

Charles Maurice "Pepper" Martin, Bronaugh, passed away Wednesday, February 3, at his home. He was 95. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and a Celebration of Life service is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 20, at the Rinehart Christian Church. A private burial is to be planned later in the Worsley Cemetery, Bronaugh. Memorials to the Worsley Cemetery are suggested.

Virginia L. Hoover, Liberal, Mo., passed away Tuesday, February 2, at the age of 91. Arrangements are under direction of the Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar and services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, at the Hannon Free Will Baptist Church, Liberal, with burial to follow in the Barton City Cemetery. The family receives friends between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, at the Hannon Free Will Baptist Church.

Stan W. Koehn, Liberty, Mo., passed away Monday, February 1, at the Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was 58. Services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, at Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill with burial to follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill. The family receives friends between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, at Heuser Funeral Home.

Everett James Hopper, El Dorado Springs, passed away Wednesday evening, February 3, at the age of 100. Arrangements are under direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and services are scheduled at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, at the Church of Christ with burial planned at Barbourville, Kentucky. The family receives friends between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, at the Church of Christ. Memorials to the church's Immanuel Fund are suggested.

Ethel Alene Umstattd, El Dorado Springs, passed away Monday, February 1. She was 94. Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, at the Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, with burial to follow in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery. The family receives friends between one and two o'clock Sunday afternoon, Feb. 7, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Ardath (Betts) Dawes, formerly Nevada, passed away Sunday, January 31, at Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 94. Arrangements are under direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, and services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Moore Cemetery. The family receives friends at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, at Ferry Funeral Home.

Hazel Margie (Campbell) Brewer, of rural El Dorado Springs, passed away Sunday, January 31, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital. She was 87. Arrangements are under direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, and services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, at the Park Street Christian Church with the Reverend Larry Daniel officiating. Burial is to follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Evelyn Eunice (Harris) Burklow, Springfield, Mo. and formerly El Dorado Springs, passed away Tuesday, February 2, at the age of 79. Arrangements are under direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.

William R. "Bill" Dunn, Fort Scott, passed away Thursday, February 4, at the age of 81. Arrangements are under direction of Cheney-Witt Chapel, Fort Scott, and services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, at the funeral home with pastor Tim O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family receives friends between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, at the funeral home. Memorials to the VFW are suggested.

Geraldine M. (Read) Smith Hercules, Appleton City, passed away Sunday, January 31, at the Appleton City Manor. She was 82. Arrangements are under direction of the Greenfield Funeral Chapel, Greenfield, Mo., and a graveside service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, in the Pennsboro Cemetery.

Johnny Ramsey, Fort Scott, passed away Tuesday, February 2, at his home. He was 85. Arrangements are under direction of the Midland Cremation Society in Joplin and services are to be scheduled later in the National Cemetery in Fort Scott.

Earl Dean Smith, 75, passed away Sunday, January 31, at Clinton, Mo. He was born May 18, 1940 at Nevada, Missouri and his parents were Earl and Vena Smith. Arrangements are under direction of Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City.
